1. It was not built for forever:
Yes, you read correctly, it was meant to be a temporary structure, created for the 1889 World Fair, held in Paris, France to celebrate 100 years of the French Revolution. Every 7 years, approx 50 tons of paint are applied to the tower. It keeps the iron lady to look beautiful and saves iron from being rusted.
5. It’s technically illegal to photograph the Eiffel Tower at night:

You might have to pay a fine if you are taking photographs and sharing on social media since the government claims that it is an artwork and copyrighted. There are total 20,000 lights are used, that is why it sparkles so brightly and illuminated at night time.
6. There’s a secret apartment at the top.
When this tower was designed, it included a private apartment where Gustave Eiffel could host famous guests like Thomas Edison, etc. Now it is open for all to tour.
